| The Upgraded Omnitrix in Omni-Tricked: Part 4 |
Appearance
The Omnitrix is a spherical watch which is grey in color and has four white chords that connects to a round dial on top. There is a darker shade a grey in the medal and a small black line underneath it. There is a green button on the side and when pressed, will reveal the core that has green circuits on it. There are four green circles on the black face plate and there’s a grey hourglass symbol on top with green in the middle.In Omni-Tricked: Part 4, the Omnitrix gains a new look after being upgraded. The white chords are now green and is more blocky in structure. The brace underneath the chords has changed shape and is the four green circles on the dial are gone. Instead, they are replaced by grey squares. There's now a silver and white dial surrounding the Omnitrix symbol.
Functions
The Omnitrix is capable of transforming Ben into a vast amount of alien forms. When the button on the side is pushed, the core will pop up and the dial will show a silhouette of the alien transformation. The user can then turn the dial left or right to cycle through the available alien forms. Once they find the one they want, they push the core down, triggering the transformation. The user can only stay an alien form for give or take a couple of minutes before transforming back to normal and letting the watch to recharge.
The Omnitrix will adapt to the user’s age, changing the alien’s appearance based on it, as shown in Growing Pains.
Features and Modes
In its default mode, the Omnitrix will be light green in color and will allow the user to transform normally.
After some time, the Omntrix will beep twice before changing the user back to normal in a flash of red light. The Omnitrix will stay red until it fully recharges, the time for it to recharge varies from time to time.
When the Omnitrix is being tempered with, it will go into reboot mode to set it back to normal, which can take some time to finish. If the watch Is used during this time, it will have unintended circumstances, like fusing aliens together. Ben can also transform into a different form while they are still in the current alien transformation, however how this mode is triggered is unknown. In Ben’s case he just sleep walking and in his subconscious hits his alarm clock that changes him into a different alien.
When under the effects of Xingo, the Omnitrix gives Ben’s aliens cartoony abilities, like summoning random objects from thin air. In Omni-Tricked: Part 4, the newly upgraded Omnitrix gave Ben master control, which allows him to transform into any one of his aliens at will.
Glitches
The Omnitrix sometimes gives the wrong alien form then what Ben intended. When the Omnitrix is tempered with, it can fuse the alien DNA together, sometimes with the user itself as shown in Riding the Storm Out.

History
- The Omnitrix has appeared in every episode of Ben 10.
- Ben used a multi-tool to tamper with the Omnitrix in Riding the Storm Out, resulting in fusions. The Omnitrix fixed itself in by the end of the episode.
- Gax was unlocked by unknown means in Omni-Tricked: Part 1.
- The Omnitrix began turning Ben into aliens in Omni-Tricked: Part 1.
- Phil placed a data collecting device on the Omnitrix in Omni-Tricked Part 3, but is removed gets damaged by Diamondhead.
- Ben's DNA was removed from the Omnitrix in Omni-Tricked: Part 3
- The data collector was remoed in Omni-Tricked: Part 4
- Vilgax fixed the Omnitrix with a few touches in Omni-Tricked: Part 4
- It was upgraded by Upgrade in Omni-Tricked: Part 4
