First Ever Ben 10 Funko Products Revealed (Ben, Heatblast and Swampfire Funko Pop)

After a long time of waiting, Ben 10 finally joins in the Funko toy lines. The first of these reveals are the Ben and Heatblast Vinyl Funko Soda. These figures comes in a collectible can, with the lid having a picture of the character underneath it, so you are basically collecting 3 separate things with this toy line. The figure's style is very different from the traditional Funko Pop art style.

Usually when buying these, there's a Ben figure inside, with the Heatblast variant being a rare figure, called a "Chaser".

Curiously, Heatblast's Omnitrix symbol is green instead of white like in the original series. Also, due to the art style, the green buttons on Ben's Omnitrix are missing. Finally, the picture on the soda depicts the 2016 incarnation of Ben from the reboot, not the original series.

Now onto the next product. Finally, Ben 10 is joining the Funko Pop line-up with their first release being Swampfire from Ben 10: Alien Force.

Swampfire translates well into the Funko Pop art style due to his pupils already being black and his mouth not being that visible when he closes it. The packaging of the box reminds me of Bandai's packaging for the Alien Force figures.

How fitting is it that the first two aliens in Funko's toy lines are the first aliens Ben transformed into in their respective series?

I avoided Funko Pops for a long time but I might have to cop one if I see it. Gonna pass on the Soda ones though, not a fan of how they look.

Hopefully Funko will make more Funko Pops of the Ben 10 aliens and characters. Ben 10 has reached the age where it's considered nostalgic for people, and with no news of a new Ben 10 series coming out anytime soon, any acknowledgement or merch of the Ben 10 franchise is appreciated.

Derrick J. Wyatt has passed away

Derrick J. Wyatt, the art director of Ben 10: Omniverse, has sadly passed away earlier this month. He was 49-years old.

Dyemooch, a close friend of Derrick's who often collaborated with him on recolor livestreams, was informed by Derrick's sister that he has passed away earlier this month. The cause of death has not been announced at this moment.

Derrick has worked as a freelance artist on Ben 10: Alien Force and Ultimate Alien. He went on to become the art director of Ben 10: Omniverse, and is known for answering fan questions on social media, as well as making more art of the show years after it finished airing.

Derrick is also known for his work on Teen Titans, Transformers: Animated and Scooby Doo Mystery Incoporated.

May he rest in peace.

Another new alien: Skele-TON

Tom Perkins has yet again drawn another alien. This time it's a skeleton-like alien from the planet Anur Grrnay; Skele-TON. He has four green eyes, a short horn and wears the Omnitrix on his chest. Skele-TON is able to control molecular density.

 Just yesterday Tom Perkins shared an alien named L'Goon, who orignates from Anur Millgan.

Tom Perkins has dropped a new alien design. This alien is named L'Goon, he's a Millgan from the planet Anur Millgan. The planet is a canon, but unseen and is only mentioned in pop-up trivia in the original series.

L'Goon is a humanoid sea monster with the ability to breathe underwater and presumably good at swimming. Tom Perkins made an alternate design for L'Goon, where he is depicted as a muscular shark-like alien.

Aggregor gets an Omniverse Redesign

During the run of Omniverse, Derrick J. Wyatt, the art director of the show, drew some sketches of how Aggregor could had looked in the art style. On his ko-fi, Derrick has posted the full colored version of the unofficial redesign.

Aggregor is now bald and only has two spikes on his head. He wears a white suit, white shoes with a white turtle neck sweater.

An early idea for the Rooters arc in Omniverse would have had Aggregor return. Aggregor would had seek out Kevin and reveal himself as an experiment made by the Rooters to replicate Kevin's powers. At some point, Aggregor would had died by having his genetic code slowly breaking down, turning him into ooze.

Aggregor was mentioned by name in The Frogs of War: Part 1 and The Ballad of Mr. Baumann.

New Tom Perkins Alien: Lurk

Tom Perkins has designed another new unofficial alien on his Twitter. This time it's a monstrous looking alien named Lurk, an alien exclusive to Ben 10,000.

Lurk is able to manipulate and hide in shadows. His face is actually a re-use of one of the Nemetrix alien cocnept art Tom Perkins did during Ben 10: Omniverse' early stages.

Ben 10 DLC Pack in Minecraft!

Out of nowhere, a DLC expansion pack focusing on the Ben 10 reboot has been released on all current generation versions of Minecraft. The new Minecraft DLC primarily focuses on season 4 of the Ben 10 reboot.

The DLC allows players to transform into one out of ten aliens that Ben has accessible in season 4, each with a unique ability. It also comes with a custom map for players to explore with some familiar locations, multiple enemies from the show as well as multiple skins. There is also a story mode where the player can try to find Omnitrix symbols to collect and unlock more aliens. Quad Smack, Crystalfist and Rush are also playable.

The included Ben 10-themed map includes Mr. Smoothy, Billions Tower and Burger Shack.

Villains in the game includes Hex, Zombozo, Steam Smythe, Vilgax, Vilgax's Drones, Billy Billions and the Forever Knight.

Amusingly, the DLC includes skins for original series Ben, Alien Force Ben and Omniverse Ben with his white hoodie.

Tom Perkins, who worked on the Ben 10 franchise as a character designer, is back with another new alien design. This time it's Mealymouth, another alien that Matt Wayne, writer of Ben 10: Omniverse, came up with as a joke name. Mealymouth (or Meely Mouth) is a tall slender alien with multiple mouths on his face, giving of a creepy vibe. He has different amount of fingers on each hand and wears a black and white suit. He wears the Omnitrix on his stomach.

Mealymouth is able to control peoples' minds using his voice, and each mouth has a different voice, as well as talk together at once. He is also a great liar.

Other alien names Matt Wayne came up with includes Hippopotamass, Somnabulizard, Skidmarx Bungee Sponge and Crabtastic.

A new short promo for Cartoon Network Arcade reveals new footage of Alien X in Alien X-tinction. It shows Alien X with three Omnitrix symbols on his chest, means he has eleven Omnitrix symbols on his body in total. He first stars off with just nine Omnitrix symbols, and then ten by the time he is fighting reboot Ben as Rath, and now he has eleven.

It is speculated that his eleventh Omnitrix belongs to reboot Ben, as Ben can be seen without his Omnitrix during the alien battle that features Alternate Max, reboot Max, reboot Gwen, Bloxx, AmpFibian, Chromastone and Ripjaws.

Alien X-tinction will air in the US on April 11, 2021.

Ben Gen 10 Sneak Peak Preview

Today, a new preview for upcoming Ben 10 special, Ben Gen 10, has been released. You can see my breakdown on the preview here.

The preview starts of with Ben, who seems to had just timed out, facing Agent Six. Rex comes in with his B.F.S. and attacks Six.  It sounds like Agent Six has a new voice actor, presumably Vic Chao, who has hinted before that he would voice a special character.

Ben mentions that Rex has somehow broken his Omnitrix, presumably because Rex tried to "cure" Ben by touching his Omnitrix symbol when he thought he was an EVO, much like in Heroes United.
Rex battles Six, while Ben tries to get his Omnitrix to work, mentioning that this would be his last big adventure, which implies that Ben's summer road trip is coming to an end.

Big Chill and Chromastone confirmed for Alien X-tinction

Two new short advertisements has showed new footage of Alien X-tinction and Ben Gen 10. You can see my breakdown on the promos here.
The trailer shows our first look at Alternate Max's face and voice. Alternate Max's design is based on future Max's first design in the original series. as evidenced by his beard. His voice sounds gruff and deep, so it's unlikely that it's Paul Eiding.

There is a new scene where we see all the Bens and Gwen 10 in a cave, with Omniverse Ben saying that they should synchronize their powers together. It sounds like Yuri Lowenthal has reprises his role as him. Also, UA and AF Ben both have blue jeans, unlike the last trailer. So this either means that UA Ben will change into green pants in Alien X-tinction to differentiate himself more, or it was simply a coloring error.

We also got confirmation that Chromastone will be used in Alien X-tinction by Alien Force Ben. Chromastone's arm can be seen next to Alternate Max when Team Tennyson are preparing for battle, along with Omniverse Ben, Ultimate Alien Ben and original series Ben as Bloxx, AmpFibian and Ripjaws, respectively.

In another promo advertising Cartoon Network Arcade, we see footage of Ben transforming next to Rex and Bobo, and another scene where Max hugging Gwen and Ben, it is unknown which episode this footage is from. In the app itself, we can see silhouettes for characters that will appear in the three upcoming specials, such as Surge, President Gwen in armor, Agent Six, Rex, the Xerge in combat form and Bloxx. There is one interesting silhouette in the line-up, that being Big Chill, which confirms that Big Chill will be appearing physically in Alien X-tinction by Alien Force Ben, and not just as a hologram.

A new trailer advertising the upcoming Ben 10 specials has showed new footage from Ben Gen 10 and Alien X-tinction. You can watch my breakdown of the trailer here.

We got our first animated look at Agent Six in the reboot, Rex rushing through the sky with his B.F.S. and Rex building the Smack Hands with Bobo.

 We also see a scene where Rex, Humungousaur, Agent Six and Bobo are facing against Hex and his army of humans who he had turned into Ben's aliens, but with red eyes and no Omnitrix symbol. Hex's army of aliens is similar to Vilgax's plan in the reboot episode Super Villain Team Up.

The commercial also states that Ben 10,000 in the reboot is just an alternate future, not Ben's definitive future.

Alternate Max in Alien X-tinction

 As for Alien X-tinction, we get to see Alien X coming to reboot Ben's dimension via a pink portal and reboot Rath fighting him. It should be noted that during this scene, Alien X has 10 Omnitrix symbols instead of nine. 

In one scene, we can see that Gwen is tied up near a landslide, with Ben transforming using his newly upgraded Omnitrix. We then see the alternate Max that has been mentioned in the synopsis, he looks similar to reboot Max, except his jeans are tucked into his boots, he wears a brown sash instead of a jacket and he has a robotic arm that is seen as a blaster. His robotic arm is a reference to future Max in the original series.

The trailer also shows that every iteration of Ben Prime will be appearing in Alien X-Tinction, as well as Gwen 10 from the episode of the same name, not the Omniverse version, as evident from her Omnitrix design and skin color. They are all drawn to fit the reboot's art style.

A trailer for Ben Gen 10 has been leaked on Twitter. Ben Gen 10 is the second movie event in season 5 of the Ben 10 reboot. It features a young Generator Rex teaming up with Ben Tennyson in order to defeat Hex who wants to use a broken Omnitrix to infect people with alien DNA. The trailer shows Rex and Bobo Haha mistaking Cannonbolt as an EVO, they run away from the alien as Ben is mad that his smore is gone. Cannonbolt catches Rex, and Bobo tries to fight off Cannonbolt to no avail. Rex then confesses that he and Bobo ate Ben's smore, causing Cannonbolt to rage. Rex then uses his powers to build the Big Fat Sword and attacks Ben, surprising himself that he managed to build it.

It is evident from the trailer that Rex is still learning how to use his powers, as he prayed for his nanites to work properly in order to build his machine. Daryl Sabara and John DiMaggio reprses their roles as Rex and Bobo Haha, respectively, with the two of them sounding younger than their original counterparts. 

Alien X-Tintion Trailer and New Omnitrix Revealed

Cartoon Network has released a trailer for Alien X-Tinction on their Twitter. This is the third and final special for season 5 of the Ben 10 reboot. You can watch a video about its trailer here.

Alien X-Tinction will feature Ben finding an alternate Max, and will have Ben teaming up with multiple versions of Bens and Gwens to create an alien army to combat the villainous Alien X.
Alien X resembles his Alien Force appearance, except he is much larger and has glowing green eyes. He has nine Omnitrix symbols, one on each shoulder, three on each arm and one on his left peck.
The trailer shows Ben telling Grandpa Max to avoid getting stepped on by Alien X. Ben transforms into Cannonbolt, remarking that he knows how to use his Omnitrix, Alien X replies that he also knows how to use the device, and throws Cannonbolt into the Rustbucket, crushing it.

This may hint that Alien X is actually an evil Omnitrix user, He also has nine Omnitrix symbols, and it is likely that he wants to collect reboot Ben's Omnitrix to get ten, which may grant him great power.
In the preview, Alien X uses his enhanced strength to hit away Grandpa and Cannonbolt, and used his shapeshifting abilities to morph his arm into a sharp dagger.

Alien X remarks that Max always tries to interfere, which may refer to alternate versions of Max trying to get in his way, which would line up with the mentioned Max in the synopsis. 

Ben Gen 10 Promo Art with Generator Rex Characters Revealed + Alien X-Tinction Villain

Promo art for Ben Gen 10, the second special in season 5 of the Ben 10 reboot, has been revealed. In it we get to see the designs for Rex Salazar, Bobo Haha and Agent Six in the Ben 10 art style. This will be the second animated crossover between the two shows, with the first being Heroes United that aired in 2011.

The art shows Rex Salazar, who is now a kid, with Ben. Rex is shown with his BFS (Big Fat Sword) Nanite build, though it is noticeably smaller. His head and hair are more rounded and the blue on his shirt is now black. The stripes on his jacket are noticeably thinner and his sleeve no longer has orange on it. His jacket also now has a grey zipper. 

Bobo Haha looks younger and more rounded. Agent Six is shown wearing his combat uniform instead of his suit. 

The logo shows a combination of Ben and Rex's titles as well as color schemes.

The poster confirms that Hex will be the main villain of this special.

The synopsis for this special reads:

Ben meets a young Generator Rex and works through a series of misunderstandings. But when a dark wizard Hex uses a malfunctioning Omnitrix to infect people with alien DNA, Ben must defeat him to save the world.

The synopsis seems to imply that Ben's Omnitrix is going to be malfunctioning in the special, though it may actually be referring to the Antitrix. 

In other news, a new synopsis for Alien X-Tinction has been released, revealing that the main villain for the special is going to be named Alien X. Due to his name, it is unknown if Ben will actually transform into a Celestialsapien in the special.

The Tennysons attacked by a villainous, dimension-hopping Alien X. With help from a parallel universe version of Max, they bring multiple Bens and Gwens together to form an alien hero army and combat this threat.  

On the CN Mural, an evil looking Celestialsapien with red eyes and a mouth can be seen, with Ben's own Alien X looking at it. It is very likely that he is the villain in Alien X-Tinction.

New Ben 10 Alien Designs: Somnambulizard and Skidmarx

Tom Perkins has posted more new designs for joke alien names Matt Wayne came up with during Ben 10: Omniverse. This time they are Somnambulizard and Skidmarx.

Somnambulizard is an orange Axolotl-like alien who wears a black and white jump suit with the OMnitrix on his his left hand. Somnambulizard is able to mind control people within his line of vision, and is also able to regenerate lost limbs.

Skidmarx

Skidmarx is a biomechanical centaur-like alien who is mainly white and black with wheels as feet. Skidmarx is able to move at high speeds thanks to his wheels.  

These are the latest additions to Tom Perkins new alien designs for Ben 10. Other unofficial aliens he designed included Sandbox, Snakepit, Shellhead, Bungee Sponge, Hippopotomass, Jak the Freeze, Kringl the Summoner, Braindrain, Funguy, Gurge, Terrorsaur, Transmutor and Warp.

New Ben 10,010 Poster Revealed

A poster for Ben 10,010 has been revealed on a Turkish website. The poster shows Ben 10,000, future Gwen in her mecha suit and young Ben preparing to fight the large purple alien, who is shown to be able to split into multiple tiny X's. The logo has aesthetics from Gwen's mecha suit and the alien species' purple body on it. Strangely, it appears that young Ben has the season 1 Omnitrix instead of his season 4 version.

Ben 10,010 will feature a disillusioned Ben 10,000 coming out of retirement to team up with his 10-year old self in order to stop an alien invasion in the future timeline.

The movie is going to premiere in Turkey on February 20th at 10 AM. 

Ben Gen 10 and Alien X-Tinction Synopsis Revealed (Generator Rex and Multi-Ben Crossover Confirmed!)

Today a WarnerMedia presentation was held. In it, a lot of Cartoon Network projects has been revealed, such as a new season for Infinity Train. The presentation revealed the synopsis for the three upcoming Ben 10 reboot specials, Ben 10,010, Ben Gen 10 and Alien X-Tinction. It's confirmed that they will air in that order.  You can watch the video here.

Ben Gen 10 is confirmed to feature Rex Salazar from Generator Rex, who is running away from a hostile Providence. Ben and Rex must team up to stop the world from being infected with alien DNA. 

Rex Salazar has previously been foreshadowed on the Cartoon Network mural, with a younger look. Which probably means that this is the reboot's version of Rex, and not the one from the old show.

The final reboot special, Alien X-Tinction, will feature the Tennyson family getting attacked by an evil dimension-hopping alien. They later meet an alternate universe version of Max who opens the door to hosting multiple alternate versions of Ben and Gwen, forming an alien hero army to combat the threat.

The synopsis confirms that there will at least one version of Gwen that wields the Omnitrix. It is possible that the dimension-hopping alien may be a Celestialsapien, hence Alien X's name being in the title. 

This multi-Ben crossover has been foreshadowed for a long time, with Duncan Rouleau taking to Twitter to tease the possibilities of seeing Benzarro, Gwen 10, Omniverse Ben and Alien Force Ben. There was also a leaked soundtrack for the upcoming episode, with one of them being titled "various Bens".

Here are the descriptions for Ben 10,010 Ben Gen 10 and Alien X-Tinction: 

The first, Ben 10010, takes place in the future when a disillusioned Ben 10000 is called out of retirement to recruit his 10-year-old version from the past to work together to save a future under siege. The second special, Ben Gen 10 follows Ben as he meets a young Generator Rex on the run from a hostile Providence working through a series of misunderstandings in order to save the world from being infected with alien DNA. In the final installment, Alien X-Tinction, the Tennysons are attacked by a villainous, dimension-hopping Omni-alien, and soon meet a parallel universe version of Max who opens the door to hosting multiple Bens and Gwens, forming an alien hero army to combat this threat.

We also got a screenshot from one of the three specials. It doesn't tell us much, as it is simply Ben about to transform during night time. But it at least confirms that the Omnitrix won't be getting another design in these upcoming episodes.

Ben 10,010 New Trailer Analysis (Ben 10 Season 5)

A new promo trailer for Ben 10,010 has aired in Turkey. You can watch an analysis of the trailer here.

The trailer shows Ben 10,000 jumping into a time portal. The pink portal appears to be similar to the time machine  built by the Forever Knight, which was featured in the Roundabout two parter. Though it should be noted that this is another time machine as it doesn't look the same.

We then see Ben 10,000 grabbing young Ben's arm and then taking him along into a time portal. It's revealed that Ben 10,000's Omnitrix is capable of shooting out these time portals. Young Ben is wearing blue shorts and sandals, and it appears as if Ben 10,000 is kidnapping his younger self into the future.

Ben 10,010 - Future Four Arms Design Revealed

A trailer for Ben 10,010, the upcoming season 5 special for the Ben 10 reboot, has aired. Advertising that the special will air on Boomerang.

Future Four Arms vs. Clocktopus

The advertisement mostly has footage from Ben 10 Versus the Universe, but it also has new footage from Ben 10,010. It shows Ben 10,000 as Four Arms fighting against Steam Smythe in his Clocktopus.

Future Four Arms' design looks almost the same as his original series counterpart, but it has elements from his Omniverse design, as he now has a mustache and the stripe on his chin points inwards as if it were a beard. He also has green eyes, a darker skin color and no longer has a stripe on his head. In addition, he now has green lines on each of his fingerless gloves.

Future Four Arms appears to be fighting against present day Steam Smythe, as evident by the villain still having the same design and using the Clocktopus.

Ben 10,010 will air in Turkey on February 20 and in European countries on February 27. You can watch the future Four Arms trailer here.
