Clear Picture of New Ben 10 Villain and Toys!

Attamai has released a new, clear picture of the new toys in Hong Kong. He said he will release a video about it shortly. From the picture we can see a tall villain with feet similar to Vilgax and a cape. He seems to be made out of purple energy and grey rocks, could it be a member of Shock Rock's species? Or perhaps Omni-Enhanced Vilgax?

EDIT: Atamaii has uploaded the video. It is now confirmed that Upgrade will come back in Season 3 and will be used to fight against the new villain below, who is not connected to any old villains in the past. It is also confirmed that Shock Rock is the reason for the Omni-Enhancements. It is currently unknown what is armored Ben suppose to be.

We also have Upgrade Ben and Ben in a racing outfit with a scooter, the scooter one probably has no relevance but the Upgrade Ben one seems pretty mysterious. Is it based on mid transformations? A mutant? Clone? We have to find out.

New Ben 10 Toys: Upgrade Ben, Malgax and Omnitrix Ben?

In a new image that Atamaii posted from a Hong Kong toy fair, it reveals an image of toys we know are coming out such as Shock Rock and Omni-Enhanced aliens, along with three anomilaties that we haven't seen anywhere yet. It features what appears to be Upgrade fused with Ben, a new knight-like alien and Ben in a green and black suit.

Upgtade Ben, Malgax and Omnitrix Ben?

Upgrade Ben has Ben's main body with Upgrade's colors and pattern covering him. He has large eyes and has a skateboard, but that could just be a generic accessory as Ben Tennyson figures in the past, specifically made by Bandai, came with a skateboard accessory that's suppose to resemble a hoverboard. Could this be the Ben 10 reboot's version of Upgrade Rex?

Happy Anniversary to Ben 10!

The first ever episode of Ben 10, And Then There Were 10, aired twelve years ago today. Since then the franchise has exploded in popularity and has gotten sequels, two live action movies, comic books, a reboot and a whole lot of toys.

Ben 10 has gotten me into the world of cartoons, while I thought it was weird at first, eventually I really gotten into the franchise with its amazing monster designs, fun adventures and great fights and characters. From Ben to Vilgax, original to Omniverse, I keep the franchise close to heart. Sure, it has a lot of flaws, but that doesn't ruin my eternal love for this show. Since the first episode of Alien Force I have been a loyal fan to the franchise, watching and reading everything Ben 10 related, and dedicated this blog to my favorite show. I live Ben 10.

I know that Ben 10 is special to many of you guys reading this blog, and I hope you guys have just as many great memories of the franchise as me. Happy Anniversary Ben 10!

Ultimate Albedo

"Now I see the universe for what it is: We are all dust, bound by one enormous, universal force. No, not universal, not even multiversal, this omniversal force continues forever, in every direction through every reality. My lust for power, my jealousy of Azmuth, it isn't just evil, ultimately; it's pointless. I could never truly destroy you. You would only have not been not unexistent in what could have not now been the past, present, and partial future. To tear down and destroy is of no consequence or quality; to create is divine."  - Ultimate Albedo in For A Few Brains More

Ultimate Albedo is the Ultimate version of Albedo's Galvan form. He was first used in the Ben 10: Omniverse episode The Ultimate Heist where Albedo was able to assume the form after completing his Ultimatrix. Ultimate Albedo would then be the main alien Albedo would use in his next few episodes, where he steals Azmuth's intelligence. Ultimate Albedo is voiced by Eric Bauza.

Japanese Ben 10 Toy Review

Pretty random but a popular Japanese toy review channel called Leon Channel, who usually reviews toys related to Kamen Rider and Yo-kai Watch, has posted a review about Playmates' two Omnitrix toys. He compares the toy to a Yo-kai Watch and says "Henshin!" before transforming similar to a Kamen Rider. Check it out!

I suppose Ben 10 is an anime now, huh? Just kidding!

Mole-Stache

"Mole-Stache? This is quite unprecedented!" - Mole-Stache in Breakpoint
Mole-Stache is one of the many aliens that Blukic and Driba accidentally unlocked in the Ben 10: Omniverse episode Outbreak. He was first properly used in Breakpoint where Ben finds out about his mustache shape-shifting powers and successfully beat Fistrick. He was voiced by Yuri Lowenthal in Outbreak, before being replaced by David Kaye for the rest of the series. Mole-Stache was originally intended to appear in No Honor Among Bros, with his lines even being recorded, but was cut for time. He speaks like a stereotypical gentleman with an English accent.

He has large four fingered hands in white gloves and has nozzles on his shoulders, arms, head, back and backside. He wears the Omnitrix symbol on where his mouth would be in a fashion similar to a gas mask.

Ben 10 Reboot Season 3 Speculation

We're not far into Season 2 of the Ben 10 reboot yet, but I think it would be fun to analyze some sketches done by Kaitrin Snodgrass. Keep in mind, these are just sketches and probably don't mean anything, I'm just overthinking things.

This picture shows Ben and Gwen preparing to fight. Gwen is shown being able to fire some sort of roundish plate. This might mean she will learn how to use magic later on in the series, much like in the original Ben 10/

Ben 10 Season 2: Upgrade is Dead, Episode Scenes and Omni-Enhanced XLR8!

Cartoon Network Africa has released a new Meet the Aliens video featuring the Omni-Enhanced aliens and Shock Rock.

A lot of fans wonder why hasn't Ben transform into Upgrade yet, even I questioned why he didn't appear during Animo's mutation in Animorphosis. The video confirms that Upgrade is completely gone from the Omnitrix, sacrificing himself in order to upgrade it and add Omni-Enhancements. So I guess Upgrade died!

The video also contains scenes from upcoming episodes, including:
  • Omni-Enhanced Stinkfly fighting Zombozo in the Rustbucket
  • Omni-Enhanced Heatblast fighting Vilgax's drones
  • Transformations for Omni-Enhanced Four Arms and Omni-Enhanced Overflow, both of which are from The 11th Alien two parter.

Interview with Kuro the Artist, Creator of Ben 10 and Danny Phantom Crossover Comic

Today I bring you an interview with Rob Orpilla, commonly known as Kuro the Artist, a popular member of the Ben 10 fandom known for creating the Ben 10 and Danny Phantom crossover comic, 5 Years Later. He also makes coloring pages, as well as merchandise with his designs on it such as t-shirts, stickers, cups and hoodies.

How did you get into Ben 10? Subsequently, how did you get into Danny Phantom?

I don't remember the first time I got into Danny Phantom, as it came out a little earlier than Ben 10 and I was relatively young. It was sometime during the first season as I remember a ton of the old commercials promoting the episodes. For Ben 10, the first episode I ever saw was A Small Problem, where Ben gets stuck in his Grey Matter transformation the entire episode.

Looking back, that was one of the weaker episodes, but even that was enough to get me hooked. To help promote the season 2 finale Back with A Vengeance, Cartoon Network aired a marathon of all the episodes that aired so far, so that is how I caught up. I saw every new episode when it aired since.

What gave you the idea of starting 5 Years Later?

Long story short, I wanted to produce a comic that had a more efficient method of editing and illustration that my previous work, and after drawing Danny and Ben for so long, I realized how much more there were to the characters than their networks have allowed them to grow, so I took it upon myself to give them justice. You can check out the full story on my YouTube video, 39 Facts About The Danny Phantom/10 Crossover.

Can I Keep It? Review

Today I'm going to review the second episode of Ben 10 reboot's second season, Can I Keep It?

The episode is about Ben wanting to get a pet, but his allergies to most common house pets prevents him from doing that. However, he stumbles upon a weird hybrid between a cat, dog and a rabbit, the Catdobbit. Now Ben has to hide his new friend from Grandpa Max and Gwen, but is the animal all it seems to be?

So apparently Ben is allergic to most household pets, like dogs and cats. I guess the reboot is lucky that it didn't show Ben interacting with these animals before or else they'd mess with the character. Max then says even if Ben get over his allergies, he hasn't shown that he's responsible enough to take care of a pet. Fair point, as he was shown to be preeeeeety immature throughout the series thus far.

Omni-Enhanced DIamondhead

Ben 10 Reboot Video Game is relased in Europe!

The Ben 10 reboot video game has been released in Europe. For some reason the trailer was released super late, but Bandai Namco Entertainment finally released a (pretty underwhelming) trailer for the game.

The game allows players to transform into the original ten aliens in the reboot. Some alien aliens that makes their video game debuts includes Overflow, Stinkfly, Upgrade and Grey Matter, who now has a backpack to make him better suited for combat.

The graphics are in a cell-shaded art style with outlines similar to The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker. Each alien will be able to perform an Ultimate move. The cutscenes, animation and graphics are really good a Ben 10 game and I like how lively everyone looks. The game can be bought for Steam, Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch.  You can watch the trailer here.

Out to Launch Review

Out to Launch is the first episode of season 2 in Ben 10.

The episode is about VIlgax hijacking a space plane for its powerful energy source. Ben has to stop him with a help of a new function in the Omnitrix.

We're introduced to another throwaway human character, her name is Betts McCabe, voiced by Cree Summer. She wants to pilot the plane but is disappointed that it is on auto pilot. Then Vilgax hijacks the ship and locks her in the storage room. Ben has to save her and get rid of Vilgax before he flies away.

The jokes in this episode isn't the best that the show has given us, and the pacing in it feels a bit fast. It seems like they wanted to show a bit more story but didn't had enough time. I'm really glad they gave Vilgax scars, not only does it show a sense of continuity but it also improves on his previous design that looks a bit simplistic around the head. The Upgrade Omnitrix looks really good from a far as well.

Unlock and transform into all ten of Ben's incredible alien forms. Meet and interact with some of your favourite characters from the show, explore a wide range of destructible locations, find Ben 10 collectibles in surprising places, and take part in epic battles against Ben's most memorable enemies.

"Articguana? Cool, literally." - Artiicguana in Ben Again

Arctiguana is the first ice alien in the Ben 10 franchise. He's a Polar Manzardill from the planet X'Nelli who was first used by Ben 10, 000 in the original series episode Ben 10, 000. He was used again by Ken Tennyson in Ken 10 to freeze Mot Snikrep. He appeared as a hologram in Ben 10, 000 Returns where Ultimate Ben used his ice breath powers.

Arctiguana was finally unlocked in Omniverse by 16 year old Ben who froze some incoming lava. Albedo used Arctiguana to chase Ben, Max and Rook while carrying Khyber, before going Ultimate and attacking Ben. In the comics, Arctiguana was used by both Ben and Ben 10, 000 to defeat Vilgax 3000.
